It is natural to see that when a popular leader and that too when the Chief Minister dies, the reactions are quite overwhelming. We have seen that grief when the popular leaders like MGR and NTR passed away. However, things seem to be in a rather extreme mode when it comes to the passing away of Y S Rajasekhar Reddy. As it is, the number of deaths that happened following the sudden demise of YSR have been more than 600 and now, the efforts are said to have begun to come up with temples of YSR. While the TUDA chairman Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy has announced that he is going to construct a grand temple for YSR in Tirupathi , the people in Mudigonda mandal in Khammam district have gone ahead and started the construction of a temple. The first temple is coming up in Vanamvarikistapuram village. The people in the village have commissioned 12 sculptors from Tiruvur in Krishna district to ready a 5.2 feet statue of YSR and it seems that pooja, abhishekam will be done to YSR Idol every day just like any other god. The initiative is said to have been taken by the villagers who consider YSR as god but then sources reveal that all this is being driven across by the Congress chief Whip Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. The temple is coming up in the main centre in the heart of the village. The villagers have collected two lakhs from the fans of YSR to construct the temple. The temple will be like any other temple and the priest will offer daily puja and special pujas like archana and Asthothram will also be conducted every day. The chief whip Bhatti Vikramarka will formally open the temple for public. It now remains to be seen how many more temples would be coming up across the state and we might have to add another God to our long list of Gods.
